Spring is here, and we are as busy as bees at YUF CSA, as we prepare for the upcoming growing season!
There are a number of ways we could use your help to make the 2011 year a success:
- Join us on our weekly road trips to the tropics, or rather, our greenhouse in Mnt. Albert, Ontario! Help us start our hot weather crops, like eggplants, peppers, tomatoes, squash and cucumbers, and we’ll provide you with a hot lunch in return! Contact madeline@yufcsa.com, if you are interested.
- Help us secure land and shareholders for the upcoming season. We have already been out dropping flyers door-to-door in each of our hubs, but could use your help dropping off more! For that extra enticement: a round of hot choc, tea or coffee and thanks will be provided at the end of the mission! Contact madeline@yufcsa.com, if you are interested!
- Help us make our 2011 newsletter a success! We need a newsletter coordinator, an editor, and of course writers, who are passionate about food and urban ag, to help us put together our weekly newsletter. Contact andrea@yufcsa.com, if you are interested!
- This spring has been chilly, but not to worry, work in the ground will be starting in a couple of weeks. If you are interested in helping us get the gardens dug and prepped for growing, our Ground Breaking ceremonies are just around the corner. Keep the weekend of April 24-25 free! Stay tuned for more details!
- Meanwhile, if you can’t wait to get stuck-in, contact madeline@yufcsa.com about becoming a gardeneer!
