YUF CSA will be hosting both workshops and in-garden tutorials throughout the season.
Workshops
Workshops will occur once a month and will include exciting things like cooking or preserving! Our workshops will be open to the general public, though shareholders, volunteers, and members will have priority. The 2011 workshops are listed below, stay tuned for more details:

In-Garden Tutorials
Our in-garen tutorials will occur by-monthly and will take place in our very own gardens. Our in-garden tutorials will only be available to our CSA participants and volunteers. Our in-garden tutorials will include, but are not limited to:

- How to prepare a garden for planting
- How to plan a fruit garden
- Organic fertilizer options
- Soils, composting, and mulches
- Optimizing fruit and vegetable production
- Harvesting basics
- Pruning basics
- Pest control: weeds, insects, diseases
- Worm composting
- Saving your own seeds
- How to prepare a garden for winter and extending seasons
